    Description

    This salt dish stands 1 5/8" tall and measures 1 3/4" in diameter. Made of bright, aqua blue glass, it is round in shape with a scalloped rim and a hexagon-shaped pedestal base. This piece is shown as #472 in the book, "5,000 Open Salts," by William Heacock and Patricia Johnson. It is described as a colonial style salt cellar, scarce to find in color, circa 1900.  This piece is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips or flakes.
