This listing is for the fossil sand dollar you see pictured. MUCH nicer than my photos good quality with pattern that really stands out.
These are from Mexico and the official name is Oligopygus putnami. They lived in the middle to late Eocene, about 40 million years ago.
Out of thousands of this type found only a few are jewelry quality. Most have large pits/vugs, deformed and other "flaws". These i'm selling i personally hand selected by me from a fossil dealer many years ago. The ones i'm selling are much better than average with a few top grade collector quality.
