Being offered on this auction is a set of four desert plates made by Barker Bros in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, in their ever-popular line of Royal Tudor Ware. They are in vibrant Blue English Violates pattern with gold rim. Mark on the backside reads ‘Royal Tudor Ware - Barker Bros - Stoke-on-Trent, England’ dating production of c. 1945 – 1949. There is also a gold mark of decorator or distributor - BREXTON - and a pattern number 8089.
Plate measures about 6 ¾” in diameter Condition is good with no chips found. Colors are bright and vibrant. Gold has no wear. One plate has very little pinpoints on gold rim. There is crazing normal for such vintage earthenware plates. Please take a look at the pictures to find out more about this set.
